WWII Japanese Rising Sun Flag in Large Size

The flag measures about 105cm X130cm. It’s a large-sized prewar flag made of smooth fabric (probably muslin) which was commonly used before WWII. However, the fabric is prone to damage from moths and indeed the flag was patchworked by silk cloths on the backside to cover the moth and or wear / storage damaged areas. This repair work was most likely done by a household female hand during the war. The flag still has original strings on at two corners, so it can be hung on the wall. It’s a real vintage flag that can displays well in your collection room.

A large-sized rising-sun flag is really hard to come by!!
