WWII Japanese Named Army Second Lieutenant's Type 98 Tunic with Dress Shoulder Boards
€475.00
An early war tailor-made Type 98 officer’s tunic in high-grade greenish khaki wool. Originally attached are a pair of second lieutenant’s collar tabs and a pair of detachable second lieutenant’s formal dress shoulder boards. On the right chest is loops sewn for a longer medal or ribbon bar. The original owner’s sir name “Watanabe” (渡邊)is hand-embroidered on the interior of the tunic. The maker tag reads, “Tailor Shop Kawamura, Yamaguchi Prefecture.” The interior silk lining has no damage, but the high-grade wool is slightly suffered from very tiny moth nips in a few places. The tunic appears to have been worn but is still in good condition. (the tunic is sold without medal bar!).
A extremely sharp-looking high-grade tunic in great condition, fully adorned with attractive insignia which are quite valuable in themselves!!
