WWII Japanese Army Officer's Forage Cap in Field Used Condition

395.00

A standard army officer’s cap constructed of typical olive drab wool. The cap is in complete condition without missing parts, but appears heavily used. Particularly, the silk interior lining is heavily darkened and has a couple of large holes from use. The leather sweat band has a tear of about 4cm. However, none of it can be seen from outside. Indeed, the main wool body, including the yellow star insignia, looks great and almost undamaged. While, the rust stains from a couple of air-ventilating grummets can be seen on the left side of the wool body. Outside appearance of the wool body is almost intact and, especially free from moth damage. The only damaged area in the outward appearance lies in the chinstrap, which has a strong crease on its ersatz leather where the inside fabric becomes visible through the crack on the surface coating. However, despite its broken appearance, the chinstrap is firmly in place and shows no sign of becoming broken apart. All of this contribute to the great combat-worn appearance of the cap. The cap is in large size, around 57cm.

A awesome used officer’s cap that has a great combat-worn appearance!!
