Waffen-SS EM/NCO's Cap Eagle

Waffen-SS machine woven example was first introduced sometime in 1939. This pattern eagle was designed for use on the overseas and M43 style caps although it was also occasionally utilized on the visor caps.

The eagle insignia is constructed of fine quality silvery-grey and black threads, BeVo style machine embroidery on a black rayon backing. The eagle was removed from a cap and shows clear signs of age and use.
