Type II German Veterans Gorget

Intended for wear by a flag bearer in a Nazi-era association for military veterans. Gorget constructed of nickel plated brass, center shield enameled, and surrounded by oak leaves and stylized Prussian and Nazi banners. The chain is retained by 2 sheet metal clips, one of which is neatly marked with the number “1” presumably a manufacturer code. Reverse with intact black cloth backing. Obverse with light signs of age and use.

This gorget will be a “eye catcher” in close to any collection!!
