Second Pattern Reichs-Luft-Aufsicht Gorget Produced by Assmann

This is the second pattern produced of aluminum with the corner busses. Four piece construction with bronze washed text and wings. Inside the wings is a mobile swastika in bright gilt metal. Chain and gorget is in close to mint condition, retaining almost all original frosting. Reverse with intact dark green fux leather backing. The backing is so welded on that you can see the outline of every back clip that was pushed through the plate. The center button clip on the reverse is maker marked “A” for Assmann. The chain is aluminum and flawless.
