Schlageter Badge 2'nd Bersion with Swords Maker Marked "P. Küst"

A Freikorps Schlageter-Schild Kämpfer by Paul Küst of Berlin. This commemorative badge was established by the Third Reich Schlageter-Gedächtnis Bund e.V. on the 10th anniversary of the execution of Albert Leo Schlageter of the Schlageter Memorial League. This could be purchased by any Freikorps member along with the battle honor clasp(s) they were involved in.

The badge is constructed of die struck tombak base with a silver paint wash, chemically blackened and lacquered. There is two battle honor clasps “Grenzschüts 1919/1920” and “Spartakus 1919-1923”. The full back reverse is maker marked: “Paul Küst Abzeichen – U. Ordenfabrik Berlin S W 19 Ges. Gesch. 101.” The badge is in very good condition with light surface wear.
