695.00

The M35 Visor Cap was introduced by order of the People’s Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 of December 3, 1935.

The cap is constructed of khaki colored wool with black cloth center band. The upper edge and upper center of the cap band has red colored trimmed wool piping. Pinned in place to the front center of the cap band is a WWII type red star with deep red enamel. Black leather chin strap is attached with two brass buttons, one to each side which are pinned in place. Correct WWII type square shaped fiber visor. The lining is constructed of brown/grey cotton. Caps original oil-cloth sweat band is still in place. The lining is stamped with a clear maker mark stamp which reads: “Red Shepherd, Almata (Located in Kazakhstan) 58 (size of the cap) 41. (year of production 1941) order NKO”

The cap is in a well preserved, but still well used condition. Outside shows no rips, mendings, moth holes or stains. Just some wear to highlighted positions. Inside shows clear signs of use with sweat stains and wear marks from a longer period of use.

It’s getting harder and harder to find war time original Russian WWII visor caps, especially one like this, in good still well used condition!!
