RAD Sport Shirt Emblem

The front features the wheat and shovel organizational emblem of the German national labor service, Bevo machine woven on a white disk that is superimposed on a black-outlined red shield. The backing is the typical thin white cotton. Embroidered to the front is “RADJ” triangular Reichsarbeitsdienst logo, “Ges. Gesch” (indicating a legally protected design) and the maker mark “G.EW.” The reverse of this RAD Sport Shirt Emblem has the typical, loosely woven appearance typical of Bevo type manufacture. There are no stitch holes or any other indication that this patch was ever sewn to anything. It shows slight age, with toning to the white backing and a couple of minor spots. It remains in excellent condition overall.
