Panzer Unteroffizier's M36 Issue Field Tunic

Field-grey wool construction field blouse. Six button front closure with a single metal hook and eye positioned at the neckline. The field tunic has four pleated patch front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Bottle green badge cloth lay down collar with machine sewn early issue collar tabs with pink branch color as introduced 1935. Above the right breast pocket is a EM/NCO’s BEVO manufactured breast eagle machine sewn in place. To the shoulders is slip sew-on shoulder boards buttoned in place. The shoulder straps are early second pattern with dark green cloth, pink wool branch color piping and bright celleon rank tresse. To the left chest is period sewn loops for three awards and above the pocket is a two place medal ribbon pinned in place. There is also a grade 1 tank markmanship lanyard with field grey backing. The lanyard is attached to a added button under the right shoulder board as well as with a loop attached to the second button.

 

Inside is fully lined with mouse-grey brushed cotton. Inside right inner lapel with clear size stamp in black ink and year of production “41” for 1941. Medic pocket intact. The tunic is sold as we received it, complete with the often missing internal belt straps, all four belt hook’s , “anti-slide” hooks and inner protective, removable collar.

 

This is an extrordinary well preserved tunic. Possibly it was used just a couple of times, if used at all. All insignias match the tunic perfectly in condition and is period sewn in place. There is no rips, holes or mendings. The tunic has been sewn in to the back a couple of centimeters for a better fit.
