Luftwaffe Krim Campaign Shield 

The Krim shield was instituted on July 25th 1942, for award to all Wehrmacht, personnel who had been engaged in combat, were wounded or served three months in the campaign between September 21st 1941 and July 21st 1942.

This is a die stamped, magnetic sheet metal, shield with a bronze wash. The shield is mounted on a cut-out,  shield shaped, Luftwaffe blue wool base with an alloy backing plate. All covered by the original paper backing. Removed from a tunic in still very good condition.
