Jäger Short Dress Bayonet with Carrying Leather and Portepee

Roughly 19cm long nickel/silver plated drop forged, steel construction blade with wide fullers to each side. Maker marked to “Eickhorn, Solingen”. The brown leather washer is still intact. The bayonet has a nickel/silver plated alloy, crossguard with one up-swept arm, a flash guard and a stylized eagle head pommel. The bayonet has carved stag horn grips which are secured to the hilt by two dome headed rivets. Green (Jäger/Gebirgsjäger) felt plug is still present. The bayonet comes complete with its original black painted, sheet metal scabbard and black colored carrying leather. A green cotton portepee is tied in place. All parts shows matching, light signs of age and use.

A very well preserved and complete example with desirable stag horn grips!!
