Adolf Hitler restored the Iron Cross in 1939 as a German decoration and continued the tradition of issuing it in various classes. The Iron Cross was awarded for bravery in battle as well as other military contributions in a battlefield environment.
This is the Iron Cross Second Class 1939. Standard issue three piece construction cross with magnetic Iron core. The black Iron core has virtually all black paint still intact. The cross is complete with intact medal ring, suspension ring and medal ribbon. The cross is in very good condition, actually close to mint condition with even the frosting left to the frames.
Close to impossible to find in better condition!!
