Iron Cross 1'st Class 1914, Engraved to Swedish Volunteer

The cross is a standard issue cross, three piece construction with Iron core and silvered frames. Hinge, pin and catch all intact to the reverse. The cross is also maker marked to the reverse, under the catch: “S.W”. The cross is in good condition with a nice age patina all over. The cross is engraved to the reverse: “Dolina, På Slagfältet 29.6.15” På slagfältet translates to “on the battlefield”.
