Heer M35 Double Decal Helmet

The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet with most of its original, smooth, green paint still intact. The left side of the helmet has a Wehrmacht eagle shield decal which is retained 85%. The right side of the helmet has a national tri-color shield decal which is retained over 75%. All three liner retaining rivets and both inserted ventilation bushings are all intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers and the original tie string intact. The liner is well marked with a black size ink stamp “58”. The interior reverse neck guard apron is serial/lot number stamped “4020” and the interior left side apron is stamped with the manufacturers code and size, “SE66”. The helmet comes with a original chinstrap, one piece missing though!. The helmet was white chalk-painted as clearly seen to the interior. Parts of the waint paint is also visable arround the rivets and ventilation holes. Inside is in very good condition, outside shows some paint loss, most likely due to storage and possibly from when the white paint was removed.

 

Desirable early M35 DD helmet which also was winter camo painted at one point of time!!
