Heer Gebirgsjäger Rgt 98 Leutnant's M36 Combat Tunic

Tailor made field-grey, light weight tricot cloth tunic with dark-green cloth collar. The tunic features a five button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyes at the neck. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Officer collar tab’s, dark-green cloth with green rayon center stripes and silver/aluminum embroidery, machine sewn in place. Slip-on shoulder straps with russian braids on green wool backing. The shoulder strap’s have unit number “98” pinned in place. Above right breast pocket is a Officer’s national eagle in bright silver threads on dark green backing, neatly hand sewn in place. To the upper right sleeve is a Officer Edelweiss insignia neatly hand sewn in place. Award sewn holes for a Iron Cross 1’st class to the center of the left chest pocket. The holes are sewn for either a screw back version or pin back version to fit. Under the same pocket is loops sewn for an aditional award. Above the same pocket is loops sewn for a 3-4 place ribbon bar. The tunic is fully lined with green/grey rayon cloth and white rayon in sleeves. Dagger hanger and clip also still present.

The tunic shows light signs of age and real use. There is some wear spots to the lower front part of the tunic. All insignias match perfectly in condition and are original to the tunic. No holes, rips, mendings or larger stains.

Used Gebirgsjäger tunic in still very good condition!!
