Heer Feldwebel's STUG Abteilung 600 Shoulder Straps and Collar Tabs

Matching insignia set to a STUG Feldwebel serving in STUG Abteilung 600.

The shoulder straps is M44 with Red rayon service piping and dull grey rank tresse. One large alloy metal rank pip and unit numbers “600” pinned in place. The perfect matching pair shows only light signs of age and use.

Collar tabs, Field-grey wool construction with red rayon waffenfarbe piping. Removed from a tunic, still in very good condition with light signs of age and use.

12 to 31 Dec.1942….. 2.Bttr./Stu.Gesch.Abt.600 assigned to 2. Panzerarmee (Reserve), Heeresgruppe Mitte, while 1.Bttr./Stu.Gesch.Abt.600 attached to LIII. Armeekorps from 23-31 Dec.1942 and 3.Bttr./Stu.Gesch.Abt.600 attached to XXXV. Armeekorps from 31 Dec.1942.
30 Mar.1943….. Unit transferred (minus vehicles) to Jüterbog Truppenübungsplatz, Wehrkreis III, for downgrading from a “schwere” (heavy) to a “leichte” (light) Sturmgeschütz unit.
17 Nov.1943….. Unit (minus 1.Bttr./Stu.Gesch.Abt.600) attached to 3. Panzerarmee, Heeresgruppe Mitte.
