Heer Cavalry EM/NCO'S M34 Overseas Cap, Produced 1940

675.00

Field-grey wool construction cap with fold down side and back panels. As is typical the fold down panels are handstitched in the upright position at the front center of the cap. The front center of the cap has a machine woven, national eagle in grey threads on a cut-out woven, field-grey rayon base. The eagle is neatly handstitched to the cap. The front center of the fold down panels has a machine woven, national cockade on a woven, diamond shaped, dark-green rayon base. The cockade is machine stitched to the cap. The cap has a yellow rayon inverted “V” soutache indicating service with the Cavalry. The soutache has been applied in the correct manner, being machine stitched in place and inserted through two, small, puncture holes near the bottom edge of the cap.

The cap has a natural, ferrous metal ventilation grommet to either side. The interior of the cap is fully lined in grey cotton. Clearly, size, maker and year of production (1940) in black ink. The cap is in good, little used condition with light signs of age and use.

Super nice cap, hard to find in better condition!!
