Germany WWII Iron Cross 1'st and 2'class Stick Pin with L/59 Marked LDO Card 

High quality, private purchase stick pin with Iron Cross 1’st and 2’nd Class, side by side. The crosses is about 9mm. Black paint is virtually all intact and this maker have had both the edges, swaztika and institution year all in silver paint (very nice!). The soldered on and correctly knurled stick pin is still intact. In overall very good condition with minor signs of age. The stick pin comes with it’s original LDO paper card. The paper card is maker marked stamped “L/59” for “Alois Rettenmeyer, Schwäbisch Gmünd”, which is a pretty scarce manufacturer.

Of note: Only the pins with military connections were required to have the LDO cards when sold. Such items as the tank badge, iton cross, army and air force badges, eagle insignias, wound badges, etc., were mounted on these cards.
