Germany WWI "Gold Gab Ich Für Eisen 1914" Brooch

This brooch is from the German fundraising campaign Gold gab Ich für Eisen 1914. To finance the war, citizens were asked to donate their gold. In return, they received symbolic iron jewelry. This brooch is from from 1914 as seen in high relief to the front. Also in high relief to the front: “Gold Gab Ich Für Eisen” freely translated to “I Gaved gold for Iron”. The brooch is complete with pin back device to the reverse and is in very good condition.
