German WWII K98 Combat Bayonet With Carrying Frog

The K98 bayonet was a standard issue item and was accompanied by a bayonet frog to be worn on the reverse left side of the weight bearing waist belt. The K98 bayonet remained the standard issue bayonet through-out the war with minor manufacturing variations.

25cm long drop forged steel construction blade with wide fullers. Blade retains approx 50% of it’s original blueing. Marked “3695 aa” and “43asw”. Also waffenamt marked. Wood grip and stud functions well. The bayonet comes with steel scabbard (not matching numbers). The bayonet also comes with a nice original leather carrying frog. The scabbard has a couple of minor dents and has lost virtually all of its blueing.
