German Cross in Gold 1957 Version, Produced by Steinhauer & Luck

1957 version, German Cross in Gold in silvered and gilded tombak with double-overlaid sunburst pattern with eight points. The centre with a denazified Iron Cross exhibiting an oak leaf cluster in place of the swastika with a stamped circular wreath impressed with oak leaves, ribbons, and the introduction year “1941”. The inner and outer sides of the wreath feature a thin red enameled line with a silver core in the middle. Pinback with four rivets on the reverse. The cross is unmarked but for sure produced by S&L. In very good, close to mint condition.
