Russian M35 WWII Infantry Officer´s Visor Cap, Produced 1943 

The M35 Visor Cap was introduced by order of the People’s Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 of December 3, 1935.

The cap is constructed of khaki colored wool with raspberry-red colored cloth center band. The upper edge and upper center of the cap band has raspberry-red colored trimmed wool piping. Pinned in place to the front center of the cap band is a WWII type red star with deep red enamel. Black leather chin strap is attached with two brass buttons, one to each side which are pinned in place. Correct WWII type square shaped fiber visor. The lining is constructed of grey cotton. Caps original leather sweat band is still in place. The lining is stamped with a maker mark stamp which reads: “Cap Factory Red Dawn, size 58 and year of production 1943″.

The cap is in a well preserved, but still used condition. Outside shows no rips, mendings, moth holes or stains. Just some wear to highlighted positions. Inside shows clear signs of use with sweat stains and wear marks from a longer period of use.

It’s getting harder and harder to find war time original Russian WWII visor caps, especially one like this, in good used condition!!
