Heer Officer's Dagger Manufactured by R. Herder Solingen

Roughly 26cm long nickel/silver plated, double edged steel, stiletto style blade. The blade is maker marked “Rich.A.Herder, SOLINGEN”. The black leather washer is still intact. The dagger has a well defined nicely detailed, cast alloy crossguard, ferrule and pommel. The top edge of the crossguard has an ornate etched oak-leaf pattern. The cast ferrule has a repeating, embossed oak-leaf pattern. The dagger has a molded off-white/yellow bakelite grip. The dagger comes complete with it’s original silver washed, magnetic sheet steel scabbard. The scabbard also has alloy hanger suspension bands with an ornate, embossed, repeating oak-leaf pattern. The hanger suspension rings are both intact. The blade is clean and is in close to perfect condition. Bright silver paint is intact to abput 99%. There is a spot of pitting located to the reverse of the crossguard and some dark spots to the scabbard. All in all a very good condition dagger!
