Luftwaffe Bomber Clasp in Silver

The Heavy, Medium and Dive Bombers Operational Flying Clasp was introduced by Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring on January 30th 1941. The clasp were awarded in three grades of, Bronze for twenty operational flights, Silver for sixty operational flights, and Gold for one hundred ten operational flights.

This is a two piece, die struck, Buntmetal construction clasp. The winged bomb is secured to the clasp with a rivet which is visible on the reverse. Complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly. The clasp shows nice detailing and light signs of age and wear.

A really nice exampel with a very nice age patina!!
