Russian WWII M35 Officer's Infantry Side Cap

The Side Cap M35 was Introduced by order of the People’s Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 of December 3, 1935.
The cap is constructed of khaki colored cloth and the sides are made of two layers of main cloth. In front the cap has a star made of cloth, and on the top of the sides and seams of the cap – edging all in rasbery red trimmed wool. On the top of the cloth star is a red enamel cockade with a sickle and a hammer. Inside is lined with cotton and a full leather sweatband is machine sewn in place. The original stamp of the manufacturer is still visable it reads: Factory “Red Seamstress” 1941 (year of production) Size 58. There is also a name handwritten to the lining it reads: “Simonov A.N”. The cap is in good, still used condition with light napwear to all exposed parts. Inside shows old sweat and grease.
A pretty scarce cap, produced 1941 for a Infantry officer!!
