Waffen-SS Infantry Sturmmanns's M43 Field Tunic 

Field-grey wool construction field blouse features a five button front closure with a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The tunic has four non-pleated patch, front pockets with straight edged button down flaps (m43). The tunic has four sets of two stitched eyelets with one set situated at either side of the front closure and two to either side of the back panel at the waistline. The eyelets were designed for the belt support hooks. The lay down collar features a black ribbed rayon rank collar tab with a silver rank tresse to the left side and a machine embroidered SS runes in silver/grey threads on black ribbed rayon to the right side. The collar tabs are machine stitched to the collar. The upper left sleeve has a second pattern, machine embroidered Waffen-SS sleeve eagle in silvery/grey threads on a cut-out black wolol base which is machine sewn to the sleeve. Below the sleeve eagle is a Waffen-SS Sturmmanns rank chevron neatly hand sewn in place. The shoulder straps fabric retaining loops and buttons are all intact. Attached to them is a pair of Waffen-SS shoulder straps with white rayon branch color piping. There is loops sewn for one combat award to the left chest pocket. The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in rayon, with the lining running down the front closure panel edges and to the upper breast and back panels. The right front tail skirt lining has the original field dressing pocket. The lining also has four, vertical, fabric straps with four stitched eyelets to each, positioned to the reverse of the exterior belt support hook eyelets.

The field blouse shows heavy nap wear, age and usage toning through-out. Right sleeve has a couple of larger profesionally made mendings which looks war time made. Backside of the lining shows heavy damage, see pictures. All in all a heavily used combat tunic with war time applied insignias in (naturally) matching worn condition!

Original un-touched, field worn Waffen-SS tunics are super hard to find!!
