Heer EM/NCO'S Belt Buckle With Leather Tab

This is the 1940 pattern. Field-grey painted, die stamped steel buckle with a smooth outer field with a high relief Wehrmacht eagle encompassed by an oak-leaf cluster to the bottom and script: “Gott Mit Uns” to the top. The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse and the brazed buckle catch, prong bar and prongs are all intact. The reverse of the buckle is marked with the stamped manufacturer’s initials: “HK” indicating manufacture by “Hermann Knöller, Pforzheim”.The buckle comes with it’s original leather tab. The tab is maker marked “Hermann Knöller, Pforzheim” And also dated “1940”. The buckle shows signs of use with some paint loss to all exposed parts. There is also a small circular hole, ca 1-2mm in diameter. Condition overall, good still used.
