SA Sports Badge in Bronze, Karlhensler

50.00

Instituted by Ernst Rohm in November 1933, for award to SA and SS members only. In February 1935 it gained official status, the silver and gold versions were introduced, and the badge could then be awarded to the German public.

This die struck metal badge, with a bronze wash. To its reverse is the inscription “Eigentum der Obersten SA.-Führung”. “Karlhensler, Pforzheim” are also embossed to the reverse. Its complete flat pin, soldered hinge and catch assembly are intact. One of the less common makers. The badge shows clear signs of age and use.

Nice well used example!!
