Heer Stabsgefreiter's Assault Gunners Wrapper

Constructed of heavy field-grey wool body with grey rayon lining. The insignia consists of a pair of red piped EM shoulder straps with a singel loop sewn of grey subdued rank tresse, denoting unter officer aspirant. The collar tab’s are machine sewn litzen with red russian braid, machine sewn in place. At right chest is a EM/NCO’s national eagle in grey threads on green/grey backing. The eagle is machine sewn in place with fold over top. The left chest has loops for two badges and there is a Iron Cross Second class ribbon sewn to the first button hole. To the left upper sleeve is a Stabsgefreiter’s rank chevron neatly hand sewn in place.

 

The inside is lined with grey colored rayon. The liner has very faint size and manufacturers stamp in black ink. Correct inner bias lining material is visible inside each shoulder area. Belt hook suspenders and waist adjustment tapes was removed. The wrapper has been shortened, both to the waist but also the sleeves. Wrapper shows heavy napwear all over but mostly to all exposed parts. Inside neck was war time repaired with heavy zig-zag stitching. No other holes, rips or mendings only signs of war time use. All insingnias match the tunic perfectly and we find no traces of any previous insignias.

 

Super cool, well used example which for sure has seen some action!!
