Heer General Doubble Button Front M43 Field Cap

Field-grey ribbed tricot wool construction cap with a whipcord weave features fold down back and side panels with a scalloped front edge and forward sides. At front doubble golden button closure strap. Cap show slight wear and dirt outside and have for sure been worn even if little.

The top edge of the crown is trimmed in golden piping. The front center of the cap has a Golden bullion eagle as well as a bullion Generals cockade The insignia is hand stiched to the cap and is In our opinion original to the cap.

The interior of the cap is fully lined in the grey rayon cloth which is commonly found in these caps. At front we find a partial brown leather sweatband sewn to the cap. The lining and sweatband shows matching age and usage soiling inside. Size approx 56.
