Heer Early True Mountaintroopers Bergmütze

This is a pre-M43 Mountaintrooper cap/Bergmütze with higher peak and short bill. It is made of field-grey combat cloth. Two light brown bakelite buttons at front. Field grey T-shaped eagle-and-cocade-insignia machine sewn to front. Metal Edelweiss neatly hand sewn on the left side. Two field grey enameled airvent holes as seen in this type of cap with the correct crimping

Cap have typical grey drill/cotton lining inside and has a light brown leather sweatband, this is a war time replacement. Very faint black ink markings inside cap.

Cap is well used with some soiling bot inisde as well as outside and napwear to edges but overall condition grades as Very Good. Size approx 56 – 57
