Russian WWII M39 Side Cap For Uboat EM

The m39 side cap was introduced by order of the People’s Commissar of the Navy of the USSR, N426 of October 20, 1939.
Enlisted men service cap is made of grey colored wool. To the front of the cap is a Red Star with deep red enamel pinned in place. The lining is made of drill/cotton cloth. Original oil cloth type of sweatband sewn in Place. The sweatband quality controll stamped with the year: “1944”.
The cap shows strong signs of age and use with sweat and grease inside and out. No holes, rips or mendings.
