Heer Generalmajor Shoulder Straps

Constructed of a red wool base bearing two rows golden yellow celleon braid wire thread (Originally Generals shoulder boards utilized gilt bullion and silver braiding but regulations of July 15th 1938 replaced the gilt bullion braid with golden yellow celleon braid ) with a single row of silver aluminum bullion wire. Narrow retaining tounge still intact to the reverse. The small holes to the retaining tounge gives the pair was intented to be buttoned in place with removable screw buttons. The perfect matching pair shows minor age fading, either from use or age / storage.
